Praise the LORD! Blessed are those who fear Him and delight in His commands.

Their descendants will be powerful in the land; indeed, the generation of the upright will be blessed. Their homes will be filled with wealth and riches, and their righteousness will endure eternally.

Even in the deepest darkness, light will shine upon the upright—those who are gracious, compassionate, and righteous. Good fortune will come to those who are generous and lend freely, conducting their affairs with justice and integrity.

The righteous will never be shaken; their memory will endure forever. They will not fear bad news, for their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD. With secure hearts, they will have no fear, ultimately triumphing over their adversaries.

They have freely given to the poor, and their righteousness endures forever; their honor will be exalted. The wicked will witness this, be vexed, gnash their teeth, and waste away. The desires of the wicked will come to naught.
